What Participants Say

SR

Sharifah Radziah

Petaling Jaya · HR Manager

"I enrolled in the Foundations Workshop without being sure what to expect. By Sunday afternoon I had a basic household review framework written in my workbook — something I had been meaning to set up for years. The pace was calm, the facilitator was clear, and nobody was trying to sell anything."

Lee Kwong Yew

Shah Alam · Operations Director

"The Rhythms Programme is the kind of thing I wish existed ten years ago. Six weeks of structured, practical sessions on building household review habits. I appreciated that the facilitators were honest about what the programme does and does not cover — the 'no advice' boundary was clear from the start and I respected it."

Norzaini Malik

Klang · Senior Teacher

"The cohort format made a real difference. I found that listening to how other participants thought about similar situations helped me see my own household more clearly. The printed reader is comprehensive — I have gone back to certain sections several times since finishing."

Rajendran Pillai

Subang Jaya · Logistics Manager

"At 47 I had been putting off thinking about household finances properly for years. The workshop gave me a structured starting point. I came back for the Rhythms Programme a few months later. The evening format works well — I could attend directly after work without it feeling rushed."

Wong Jia Hui

Puchong · Finance Executive

"Even working in finance professionally, I found the household framing genuinely useful. The conversations about family money rhythms were the part I had not expected to value as much. The workbook exercises are practical — not abstract theory. My only note: the parking situation near the venue could be easier to navigate."

Halimah Bakar

Damansara · Senior Pharmacist

"Twelve weeks is a real commitment and I was uncertain before I enrolled. The closing workbook made it worthwhile on its own — it brought together everything from the cohort into a genuinely personal reflection. I am using the discussion forum even now, three weeks after the programme ended."

Learning Journeys

Three Participant Journeys

The Challenge

A 44-year-old project manager in Cyberjaya had two school-going children and an ageing parent to support. She had a reasonable income but no system for reviewing where it went. End-of-year she felt behind, but had no clear picture of why.

The Programme

She completed the Foundations Workshop, then enrolled in the Rhythms Programme three months later. The quarterly review framework was the element she found most immediately applicable — she ran her first household review within two weeks of the second session.

What Changed

By her second quarterly review, she described the process as "routine rather than stressful." She also used the practitioner orientation module to prepare questions before a meeting with a licensed financial planner — something she said she had been avoiding for two years.

"The rhythm cards are on my desk. I look at them every quarter now — it is not something I have to remember to do anymore."

The Challenge

A 51-year-old couple in Subang Jaya — one a government officer, one a self-employed consultant — had mismatched household money habits and found the topic difficult to discuss without it becoming an argument. They enrolled in the Rhythms Programme separately and attended different cohort groups.

The Programme

Week 5 of the Rhythms Programme — the family conversation frameworks session — gave both of them a shared language for what they had previously argued about. Having the same workbook prompts helped them approach the same conversation differently at home.

What Changed

They ran their first joint household review within a month of completing the programme. Both described it as "actually useful" — their phrase — rather than a source of friction. The husband enrolled in the Curriculum Cohort the following intake.

"We finally had a money conversation that did not turn into an argument. The workbook gave us a frame we both agreed to follow."

The Challenge

A 48-year-old IT architect who had read extensively about finance but found that general content — articles, videos, books — never quite stuck in practice. He described himself as "well-informed but poorly organised" about his household finances.

The Programme

He went directly into the Curriculum Cohort. The household paperwork module in Weeks 1–4 was, in his words, "the first time anyone had structured the information in a way that mapped to how an actual household works." The peer group helped him realise how others at similar life stages were navigating the same questions.

What Changed

He completed the closing reflective workbook and described it as "the most useful document I have written about my own household — ever." Six weeks after the programme he used the practitioner orientation framework to engage a licensed planner for the first time, having felt "too unprepared" previously.

"I had information. What I did not have was a system. Wovenbrook gave me the system — and I actually use it."
